Staff who wish to drive to campus must purchase a virtual e-permit to allow them to park. There are two types of e-permits available to staff:
Annual E-Permit
Staff are entitled to apply for an annual e-permit if they meet one of the eligibility criteria outlined below. To proceed with an annual e-permit application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this page.
Occasional Use E-Permit
Staff who only wish to park on campus on an infrequent basis can purchase daily e-permits up to a maximum of 10 visits a month. For more information on Occasional Use e-permits please contact Parking Services.
In order to qualify for an annual e-permit, staff must meet one of the following eligibility criteria.
- Staff with children aged 12 and under. Evidence of this will be required
- Staff who are registered disabled blue badge holders. Evidence of this will be required
- Staff with a medical condition which supports the provision of a virtual parking permit. Evidence of this will be required
- Staff with an official Carer responsibility. Evidence of this will be required
- Staff who live more than 2 miles from their main place of work

As part of the application process, you will need to agree to comply with the Parking Terms and Conditions. Please read the information below before applying.
- Parking restrictions apply from 7am – 4pm Monday to Friday. During these times all users of the University Car Parks must have a valid e-permit
- BU operate an Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system using the vehicle registration details submitted as part of this application.
- E-Permit holders must keep their vehicle information up to date. Amendments can be made by returning to this page at any time and logging on to their online record.
- Updates to vehicle details must be amended online 24 hours in advance. For same day changes, please contact Parking Services upon arrival to the University.
- Vehicles found to be contravening the Terms and Conditions, including parking on campus with an unregistered vehicle, will be liable for a Parking Charge Notice.
- New staff will not be able to apply until they have been allocated a BU login and their contract has been processed by the HR Department
- E-Permit holders are able to cancel their permit at any time by returning to this page and logging on to their online record.

Hozah Parking Limited
Our Parking Management Partner is Hozah Parking Ltd. You will need to register your vehicle details on their portal if your membership application is approved. Depending on your application type, you will be asked to enter your payment details on the Hozah portal.
